Halite figure-of-eight gaskets for cylinder liners.

These were used in conjunction with separate paper and aluminium gaskets, permitting the liner height to be adjusted. They superseded copper-asbestos gaskets, although AC later reverted to the old type.

Note that liquid gasket sealant should not be used with this type.
