Left-hand hinge pillar (or B post), showing steel reinforcement bracket. This bracket is fastened to the main sill board with 2 coach screws (square heads). There are also a pair of bolts passing through the bracket and sill board into a chassis outrigger. The bracket shown also helps to support the aluminium cross-member (not shown) which itself supports part of the rear seat.
